Do you struggle with finding time to work on your business?
In this mini-episode, you learn how to make your dream project happen.
Listen to the Audio
There will always be something in your life that potentially can distract you from your goal.
Deep inside, you know that you can find the time for things that are important to you.
For example, if you had to work for someone else, and if he or she required you to show up every day at the office, you would do it.
You can show up the same way for your business.
It’s harder because it requires some self-discipline, and nobody will be there to hold you accountable or to reward you with a salary.
But it’s doable.
Here is how.
1 – No waiting time needed
Stop thinking you will find more time.
Instead, make the time for things that matter to you.
If you have been listening to this podcast for a while, you know I’m a fan of scheduling and writing down what I want to get done.
I’m sure you do the same thing when you have a meeting or an appointment: you add it to your calendar.Schedule a daily appointment with yourself to work on your project.Click To Tweet
It doesn’t have to be a huge amount of time at first.
Start with blocking 30 minutes every day in your calendar until it becomes a habit for you to work regularly on your project.
During those 30 minutes, you can use the pomodoro technique to focus on a task for 25 minutes and then get a 5-minute break.
Scheduling an appointment with yourself means that you also know the location of your appointment.
It could be:
- Your home office.
- A coffee shop.
- Or any other place where nobody will disturb you.
2 – How small can become big
Start with small steps: they are specific tasks you can do daily to move forward toward your goal.
The outcome of your actions will add up over time.
And you will be amazed at what you can accomplish after only few weeks when you work consistently on a project.
Motivational quotes tell you to think big and to take bold actions. However, you also need to think about specific and realistic tasks that you can do every day within a limited time.Small realistic steps will generate big outcomes.Click To Tweet
Start simple until you build your work habit.
When you feel ready to do more, instead of 30 minutes, block one hour then two hours in your calendar.
Of course, you don’t need to start with 30 minutes if you know that you can block more time daily.
3 – Be intentional with your actions
Make sure you work on the right things.
Your time is precious, so don’t waste it with busy random work.
If you are getting started and don’t know what to sell, focus on testing your idea, rather than spending time reading the latest marketing hacks on social media.
Marketing is important but you will get no results if you don’t know what you want to market or what to offer to your visitors once they land on your website.

4 – Envision a bright future
Stay positive and know it takes time to build a successful business.
Don’t get influenced by overnight success stories you read.
Building a profitable and fulfilling business requires work and dedication.
I highly recommend you connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, who will understand and support you.
They will make sure that you don’t go alone on your journey.
5 – Keep moving forward no matter what
Don’t give up.
If you miss an appointment with yourself, it’s not the end of the world.
Focus on your next appointment and don’t miss it again.
If you are still stuck, check if it is a mindset issue or if you have problems translating your goals into small action steps.
Seek help from people who have already done it.
